MEET KEITH DELLER MBE

Keith will be present all week at 'Darts in Paradise'

Keith’s victory over Eric Bristow in the 1983 BDO World Darts Championship was probably the biggest upset in the history of the championship – and today the stuff of legend.

Keith will be present throughout the Dartoid’s “Darts in Paradise” tournament and festival, will conduct exhibitions/clinics and participate in luck of the draws.

A Well Deserved Honor

In December 2023, Keith was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours list - recognizing the tremendous impact he has had raising funds for charities, including more than £500,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

An Unprecedented Run

En route to the 1983 BDO World Darts Championship final he defeated world #3 John Lowe in the quarter-finals and defending champion and world #2 Jocky Wilson in the semifinal to become the only player in history to defeat the world's top three ranked players in the World Championship.

A Finish That Will Live Forever

Keith’s sensational 138 checkout to clinch the trophy is among the most memorable in darting history. (With Bristow sitting on 50, Deller hit t20, t18, d12 for the title.) To this day, commentators often refer to 138 as the "Deller checkout".
