It will BE 'Game On' in Jaco with “Old Stoneface"
John Lowe MBE is simply one of, if not the most famous names in darts – and is today a key ambassador for the sport worldwide. “Old Stoneface” will be on-site all week at Dartoid’s “Darts In Paradise” to meet and greet, share war stories, tip some pints, conduct exhibitions/clinics – and he plans to participate in the luck of the draw.
Wins, Wins and More Wins
John has recorded more than one thousand tournament wins. In addition to his three world championships he is also a two-time winner of the Winmau World Masters and a two-time World Cup singles champion. In total, John won 15 BDO and WDF majors. He held the World #1 ranking on four occasions.
Well Deserved Honours
Three-times world champion (in three different decades), John was inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame in 2005. In 2018, John was awarded a prestigious MBE in the New Year Honours for his service to darts and charity.
Long Ago
(But Always Remembered)
A long-forgotten fact in darting lore, perhaps unknown to many: when John hit the first-ever televised perfect 9-dart finish at the 1984 World Matchplay the man on the short end of the stick was none other than Keith Deller, who will also be present at Dartoid’s “Darts in Paradise”.
